Many donors choose to include FPHNYC in their estate plans simply by updating a will, trust, or beneficiary designation form.
Gifts by Will or Trust (Bequest): The most common planned gift. You can leave a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or particular assets to FPHNYC. Your assets remain fully available to you during your lifetime, and the gift can be changed at any time. To help your attorney draft the appropriate language, our legal information is:

Beneficiary Designations: You can name FPHNYC as a beneficiary on retirement accounts (IRA, 401k), life insurance policies, bank accounts, or investment accounts — often without changing your will. Simply update the beneficiary designation form with your plan administrator or financial institution.
IRA Charitable Rollover (QCD): If you are 70½ or older, you may be able to make a tax-free gift directly from your IRA to FPHNYC. This Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) counts toward your required minimum distribution and is excluded from your taxable income.
