The Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNY), on behalf of the Harlem Neighborhood Health Action Centers, is accepting proposals for projects that promote the built environment and/or physical activity in East Harlem (Community District 11).
For the purpose of these grants, the built environment is defined as the physical elements that make up our public spaces (like streets, sidewalks, public buildings, parks, and gardens). Health in Action projects should make it safer, easier, and more enjoyable for East Harlem residents to be healthy and active.
Up to 4 grantees will receive up to $10,000 each. Projects will start in December 2019 and must be completed by November 2020.
Funding for this opportunity is generously provided by the New York State Health Foundation.
Questions must be directed to Ariana Holland at [email protected] by July 29th, 2019 at 11:59 PM.
